Flare for Bells

If you have been following me on Instagram you know that I have a serious love of all things denim. I wear jeans almost everyday of my life and I never get tired of them. Dark denim, destressed denim, colored denim, I like them all. The best part about jeans is that denim trends are cyclical and what was once old will almost always be new again. Flares and bell bottoms were popular for quite a while before skinny jeans took over and became so popular. It took me some time to get comfortable wearing skinny jeans. I wasn’t sure how I felt about them or how they looked on me but eventually I became comfortable wearing them and I packed away all my flared jeans, knowing that at some point I would bust them out again. And bust them out again I did and honestly I forgot how much I loved them. Flares and bell bottom jeans are slowly appearing in magazines again and even girls on IG are slowly starting to wear them. I’m excited to wear them again, I love how they fit and how they look. My only complaint is that you can’t really show off your shoes while wearing them, something that I love about skinny jeans. All your cute flats and sandals tend to disappear under the flared jean and that’s their biggest drawback.

I tried on a few (really old) pairs that I own and styled them a number of different ways and I know I will definitely be wearing these looks this summer. What do you guys think? Will you be wearing flares anytime soon?
