Wow, I cannot believe it’s a new year! Where did the time go? Well since December is over, it’s time for my monthly favorites again. This month wasn’t a busy month for me on IG or here on the blog. Unfortunately me, my hubby and my little man all came down with bad colds right around the holidays and we didn’t do much except veg and try to get better. Add the holidays and I had virtually no time for posting or blogging. Well here is to a new year and to new posts!

Sometimes in the winter all you need is to be cozy and warm. What better way to do this than with a warm, chunky, knit cardigan? What makes the Chicwishcardigan down below even better is how soft it is. I have probably said it before but my biggest pet peeve, when buying knits, is when they are itchy. I cannot, and will not wear a sweater if it bugs me to have it against my skin. This cardigan is far from that, in fact it softer than most of the other sweaters I own. I have styled the sweater three different ways down below. What I won’t be showing you guys is how I wear it at home with comfy sweats and a t-shirt underneath 😛 lol.
Winter is almost here and when you live in Canada, one has to be prepared for the weather, which can be downright frigid. Last winter we endured a polar vortex that had us living in temperatures that dipped below -30’C. This year I plan to be ready for whatever comes our way. That’s where CMFR comes in. The name stands for Cold Manufactured and they design coats “for Canada’s infamously frigid temperatures.” Their coats are warm, durable and look amazing on. I have tried on a number of winter coats over the years and I have to say, I love wearing this coat; the pockets are so soft and warm inside and the red color with the black detailing is fantastic. The red is a nice pop of color during the dreary winter months. I have teamed up with CMFR to offer my readers and IG followers the chance to win their own fantastic coat (the same style and color to the one I have styled below). All you have to do is leave a comment at the end of the post telling me your favorite thing about winter (don’t forget to leave your email address too so I can contact you if you are the winner). The contest runs until Tuesday, December 8th and the winner will be announced here, on the blog, at 8:30pm. For an extra entry, head over to my IG account (@dailydose27) and follow the directions posted there.
AND THE WINNER IS @JILLMMCDONALD!! Congrats!
I saw these pants while walking through Old Navy quite a while ago and I instantly liked them, but didn’t buy them. Aside from my Zara camo pants, I don’t wear patterned pants that often (I’m a denim girl through and through). The pants kept popping up and every time I saw someone wearing them (either in person or on someone on IG) I loved them more and more and finally when one of Old Navy‘s amazing sales were on, I picked up a pair. I was surprised by their fit because they are not as tight fitting as I assumed they would be, but I still love how they look. I’ve styled them 3 ways down below, 1 of the ways was from a previous post but I loved the outfit so much I included it in this post.
If you know anything about my preferences when it comes to jewelry you know how much I love sterling silver. Every piece I have owned in the past was silver, regardless of what was popular or trendy at the time. It’s only since joining Instagram that I have expanded the type of metals in my collection, but silver is always where my heart will lie when it comes to my jewelry. Magnolia Jewelry is a designer silver jewelry retailer with 150 stores world wide. They have beautiful pieces that are handcrafted and are meant to be “distinctive by design;” you are even able to custom order pieces. Just in time for the holidays, I have teamed up with them to offer my readers the chance to win the beautiful necklace shown below! All you have to do to enter is leave a comment down below telling me what your favorite piece of jewelry is (rings, necklaces, bracelets, whatever you love best) and leave your email address so I can contact you if you are the winner. The winner will be randomly selected Wednesday, November 25th and announced at 8:30pm EST here and on my IG account! Good Luck! (For an extra chance, you can enter on my IG account too!). I have styled the necklace down below for you.
*CONGRATS TO @carlieb12585, the winner of the giveaway and necklace!*
Holiday season is quickly approaching and along with family time and lots of eating comes presents (both giving and receiving!). To make it a little simpler, I have put together some great gift ideas for the girl or guy in your life. There really is so much out there, sometimes it’s nice to have easy and accessible options. Enjoy!
I don’t own a lot of pink, but this pink v-neck sweater from Loft was so pretty and soft, I knew I would wear it often. I was already picturing outfits using it as I was walking out of the store. I especially love the sweater with the Old Navy leopard pants below!
It’s probably no surprise that I love purses. I love all the different styles, colors and patterns that are out there. Since having my little guy, my favorite type of purse is a cross-body. It makes my life so much easier, since wearing it means one less thing I have to carry in my hands. Saddle bags are a great cross-body bag and are available in so many different styles. I found some amazing choices, and these were just a selection of a large variety of saddle bags that I would happily bring home and make use of.
